Chadwick Songdo — Patterned carpet tile chosen for the learning environment

Chadwick International School is a premium international school in Songdo, Incheon, designing an educational environment where students learn service and leadership through intentional engagement within a global community. At the school's request, Tornex supplied and installed carpet tile suited to its learning spaces.

The Milliken Topography 2.0 collection used at the time is characterized by a geometric pattern inspired by the organic contours of topographic maps. Vivid colors set against a neutral palette create a visual rhythm, and the density of the lines gives each space its own distinct character.

Cushion-backed carpet tile reduces the footstep noise and reverberation that arise in classrooms and corridors, creating an acoustic environment in which students can concentrate. Tornex now supplies ANKER carpet in Korea in place of Milliken. The color contrast and linear pattern of Topography 2.0 carry over to ANKER's RAY and TEXRA collections. RAY is a plank carpet tile in vivid colors well suited to educational and cultural spaces, while TEXRA completes the floors of public and educational spaces with the refined linear pattern of a woven tile.
