Google Korea — A Gangnam office defined by metal-textured patterned carpet
Google Korea's Gangnam office was fitted with Milliken Heavy Meta carpet tile — a Tornex-supplied-and-installed solution that brought metal-surface-inspired pattern to a trendy open workplace.

Google Korea's office in Gangnam-gu, Seoul is a trendy workplace that brings its user-centered values into the space itself. Tornex supplied and installed Milliken carpet tile as the flooring for this office.
The Milliken Heavy Meta collection used at the time is a carpet tile designed with inspiration from rough metal surfaces. Its wide range of patterns and color combinations can be freely mixed within the collection, creating fresh and distinctive floor expressions throughout the open office.
The carpet tile features a polyurethane cushion backing that absorbs the noise of footsteps and chair movement. It lowers the floor reverberation and footstep sound that easily arise in open offices and lets wheeled furniture move smoothly. As a company specializing in interior acoustic materials, Tornex proposes flooring that weighs design and sound-absorption performance together.
Tornex now supplies ANKER carpet in Korea in place of Milliken. The patterned character of Heavy Meta that Google Korea chose carries over to ANKER's MULTI-DYNAMIC and SURF collections. MULTI-DYNAMIC is a plank carpet tile of twelve texture combinations whose intricate pattern adds energy to an office floor, while SURF is a neutral-toned tile suited to both lounges and open offices.
