FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

01Where is ANKER carpet tile suitable?+

ANKER carpet tile is rated EN 1307 Class 33 Heavy Commercial — suitable for hotel lobbies, airport lounges, executive offices, education, healthcare, and libraries. It offers durability one class above residential (Class 23), and is also DIN EN 9100 certified, enabling supply for aircraft cabin materials.

02Can ANKER carpet tile be replaced partially?+

Yes. ANKER tiles are modular, so only 1-2 damaged tiles need replacement — no full reinstall, minimizing both waste and cost. ANKER maintains long-term supply of identical collections and colorways, enabling reliable repair years later. See #09 for size options.

03What is the installation time and method for ANKER carpet tile?+

Standard install takes 1-2 days per 100 m², or 2-3 days including in-house curve and edge cutting. Four installation methods — full-bond, peripheral, loose-lay, or sticker (SMART) — are chosen by site condition. Tornex in-house cutting line handles curve and edge processing as standard.

04What is the acoustic absorption performance of ANKER carpet tile?+

ANKER carpet tile achieves ISO 11654 sound absorption αw = 0.20 to 0.25 (varies by collection), and ISO 717-2 impact sound reduction ΔLw ≈ 23 dB. Verified by HATEMA certified lab — stabilizing acoustics in long-reverb spaces such as lounges, libraries, learning spaces, and meeting rooms.

05Does ANKER carpet tile have environmental certifications?+

Yes. ANKER carpet tile holds KEITI Eco-Label (passes 21-point emission test for TVOC, HCHO, etc.), EPD (Environmental Product Declaration), GUT (German Carpet Association), and CRI Green Label (Carpet & Rug Institute). ISO 14001 certifies environmental management at the Wuxi factory; ANKER ESG Report (2023) provides quantified sustainability data.

06What is the fire safety rating of ANKER carpet tile?+

ANKER carpet tile is rated DIN EN 13501-1 Cfl-s1 — self-extinguishing with low smoke emission. It also holds Korean KS F 2271 fire resistance certification, enabling direct application in domestic spaces with mandatory fire safety requirements (hotels, hospitals, public facilities).

07How does ANKER carpet tile differ from other absorbers (PET / melamine foam / wood wool)?+

ANKER carpet tile is the dedicated floor finish — providing absorption + impact reduction + tactile finish in one. PET, melamine foam, and wood wool are wall/ceiling absorbers offering higher NRC (0.85+) but cannot be applied to floors. Optimal acoustic environments combine carpet tile (floor) with PET or melamine (wall/ceiling).

08How is ANKER carpet tile maintained?+

Daily maintenance requires only vacuuming. For stains, use carpet-specific cleaning agents or replace just the affected tiles. Carpet tile has lower maintenance burden than hard floors due to dust and noise mitigation, and KEITI Eco-Label certification ensures compatibility with general cleaning agents.

09What size and color options does ANKER carpet tile offer?+

ANKER carpet tile offers four size options — square 50 × 50 cm (9 collections), plank 45.72 × 91.44 cm (16 collections, 18"×36" standard), large plank 50 × 100 cm (LUMINOUS), and dual 50 × 50 + 25 × 100 cm (TEXRA). Across 27 collections, ANKER carries 338 colorways in total. View swatches and applied photos on each collection page.
